It is the group of international airports managed at Mexico City and the so call complementary airports: Toluca, Puebla, Cuernavaca y Querétaro.
General goals
- :To Consolidate the Metropolitan Airport System to fulfill satisfactorily
airport services of the Central Zone of the country, through redistributing
airport offer among the five airports of the system, according to demands. This
implicates:
- Deconcentrate traffic at AICM.
- Opening new bounds from the four complementary airports.
Expand social and economic benefit from deconcentrating air traffic and its growth.
- Regional economic development by stablishing air services and airline operations in complementary airports.
- National economic development through a more efficient connection among population, touristic and industrial poles in the country.
- Time and money savings to passengers and air services users.
- Decongestion at AICM and Mexico City's infrastructure.
