AIRPORT DIRECTOR'S MESSAGE

The Federal Government, through the Ministry of Communications and Transport (SCT), began the Terminal 2 operations of Mexico City International Airport Benito Juarez (AICM). This 242,666 m² modern building was designed to respond the growing demand for services using high-tech facilities that allow us to provide excellent services to users.

Terminal 2-1

Improvement works of the AICM aiming to increase its capacity started on October 2003 with the renewal of Terminal 1, and concluded with the operations launch of Terminal 2. This allows the AICM to service 32 million passengers a year.

Terminal 2-2Terminal 2 was developed in order to fulfill the needs and demands of a larger number of passengers in Mexico City Airport Terminal. It comprises 23 direct contact positions to the building that service national and international flights, a 5 star hotel and a parking lot for 2,437 vehicles.

The Terminal building's top floor is dedicated to attend departure passengers, while the ground floor attends to arrival passengers. This facilitates the flow of people and complies with the terms of airport international regulations.

Aerotren

Terminal 2 is equipped with modern transportation systems that allow the safe, fast and comfortable transit of users. An inter-terminal train was constructed to transport passengers from terminal to terminal (T1 and T2) and more than 8 km of external and internal roads were built.
